I recently watched the new movie about a pregnant teenager, Juno.

I have to say that though the advertising for the film was really rather poor, the film was excellent. It's another one of those films, much like Little Miss Sunshine (one of my favourite films, by the way) that is advertised in a really basic manner, almost as thought the advertisers have only been told the really basic plot outline - in Juno's case that a girl of 16 falls pregnant and decides to have the baby but give it to give it up for private adoption. But the film, like Little Miss Sunshine, Garden State and other films of that ilk, contains far more than such a simple plotline; it is an insightful look into people, from the genuine differences that age can hold to the nature of family relationships and the way love can work.

On a less deep note - I want Juno as a friend! She reminds me of a number of my friends, and she even says 'hells yeah', something that I've only ever heard come from my own mouth and the mouth of one of my closest friends (and fellow A Placer In Between-er) Bonnie! She is genuinely different, and not in the usual US film clichéd way. Which is a massive breath of fresh air, to be honest.

So yes, my overview of Juno? Excellent storyline, great characters, awesome soundtrack (been listening to it for ages) and well worth watching at least once!
